test

In February, I felt God issue a challenge: own what you’ve learned and teach others. Grabbing my journal and quickly writing down what the Lord has brought me through and taught me over the last two years, I decided to step it up in a new way and practice what it means to share my faith back in the United States.

Upon my return in June, my lead pastor from my home church was gracious enough to allow me the opportunity to speak on a Sunday morning. Sitting next to me the entire time, he guided my points and helped communicate my heart when my own words failed me. The college pastor agreed to trust me with her students, and I created a weekly class called “Deeper” with the objective of taking people deeper in their relationship with Christ.

For those of you who expressed interest, our focus verse was Romans 12:2 and below is an outline of the semester.

  • Week 1-Worship night intro
  • Week 2-Share my personal testimony (theme-with God all things are possible)
  • Week 3-Students write down their stories and share with one another
  • Week 4-Understanding Holy Spirit, and ways He communicates with us (John 14:16-17)
  • Week 5-Holy Spirit worship night, (worship in your way: art, words, music, prayer)
  • Week 6-Driving yourself to be more like Christ (know yourself, your dreams, your purpose)
  • Week 7-Theological discussion on Christianity led by Pastor Chad
  • Week 8-Freedom worship night (breaking worldly chains and declaring freedom over ourselves)
  • Week 9-Spiritual Gifts Inventory (what gifts do I have and how can I use them to glorify God?)
  • Week 10-Spiritual warfare (what it looks like/how can I fight against it? Ephesians 6:10-17)
  • Week 11-Activation, evangelism workshop (being interruptible and willing to be used).

This is a video with some highlights from my class and a quick update on what’s next!

On December 30th I will make my way to Gainesville, GA for a week of leadership training. I will meet my new squad on January 3rd, and we will fly to Japan together on the 7th.

It’s been incredible to take all that I’ve learned throughout my time overseas and adapt it into my every day life in the states. I am confident that although my season with the World Race is coming to a close, this will in no way impact my daily choice to “live missionally”. Wherever I am stationed, whether with an organization or as an individual, I want to share Jesus with every breath I take.

Financial Support

If you would like to support me financially you have two options.

I only need $3,500 to cover the cost of the trip. The full amount listed above ($6,500) includes meeting up with the squad for their annual debriefs, which I will be unable to do. This means I only need about $2,000 more to cover the cost of this trip! You can click the orange “donate” button at the top, it is tax deductible!

Some people have expressed wanting to support me personally. Help with expenses such as car insurance, clothing, and updating gear are really needed while I’m unable to earn a paycheck. If you would like to give this way you can do so through paypal with the email address [email protected]

Prayer

Thank you my wonderful support group. Have a joyful Christmas season celebrating our Savior’s birth with your loved ones!

  1. I am so thankful for the time we have had with you these past several months and for how God has used you to speak into the lives of others while here at home. It is always difficult to see you go but I know being in God’s will is the best place to be. Love you so very much, Mama
