We’re on a mission from God

If you don’t already know, the World Race is a long-term missions trip with Adventures in Missions. Groups spend 11 months traveling across different continents and working in a different country every month. Squads of about 50 people travel together, but split up into smaller groups and disperse throughout the country when they get there. This smaller group of about seven is your closest family. You live with them, work with them and do life with them. Every month your assignment looks a little different, from physical labor to loving on special needs kids. This is an incredible opportunity that will open up my world to different cultures, ministries and people. I have not taken this decision lightly, and I know that I will always look back on this experience as a time when God intervened and forever changed the course of my life.

THIS AUGUST, I will be taking part in a race that is making history. Unlike the typical routes this will be in South America only, and instead of the traditional 11 countries, 11 months we are going to every single country including a territory, 13 altogether. It is classified as an Expedition since we are exploring 6 brand new countries to the Race, partaking in intense overland travel, and exploring places far from civilization such as the entire Amazon river and Patagonia, one of the most remote regions on earth (an outline of our trip is shown below). As you can probably imagine there is a lot of fear that goes along with a journey like this one. Here are some requests to keep in mind as you are praying for me!

• Please pray for safety and strength over my team as we travel and push ourselves to the limit mentally, emotionally, and physically like never before.
• Pray for my family and friends, for God to clear their minds of worry and fear.
• For the people of South America that we cross paths with, that God will soften their hearts so that we can lead them to Him.
• Finally, pray for a spiritual transformation in me that will forever change my heart to that of a wholly devoted follower of Christ.
